ooc: Here's a reposting of what we've completed so far:
bic: Hiroshi: That competition was amazing, he had spent the whole day there despite losing his first match. The whole thing was fun as he traded many cards, made new friends, and even got a few numbers from a few girls. Keke, what a sly dog he was! Of course, he wasn't going to even call them back up since he was busy with studies and other things.
School came first, and friends followed afterwards closely. There was no room for anything else, in his opinion. He had no need for things besides those two, well, besides the franchise card game of Digimon. Maybe video games. Well, a least he had his priorties set up unlike those kids who were absorbed into games and forgot about school work.
He wouldn't become like that as he wanted to go to Standford which was a private school in America that was known world wide. He had a long way to go to get to that amazing school. The tution was painfully high in price and coming abroad was even more expensive.
As he continued walking back home, he saw an outline of a familiar figure. Was it one of those guys from school? No, it couldn't be. The hair was short, but he could stil see that it was one of the girls that he had classes with. Then the name hit him like a slap across his face. It was Kai! The girl who always picked fights, and was rather violent. Didn't she place in the top eight for the competition?
"Hay Kai!" he caled out as he put his hands into his pockets. His parents didn't care where he was or what he did as long as he got home. Alive, that is.
Kai: Kai was utterly dumbfounded. Apart from a few suspicious glances, no one had really deemed Kotemon out of the ordinary. "Do you seriously think people believe you're a little kid in a kendo suit?" she asked her new partner, still a bit in awe that she was a real-life Digimon tamer.
Kotemon shrugged. "I just got here. It's not for me to tell what humans see." Even so, he looked down at his big, very reptilian feet. "And yet..."
Kai followed his gaze, and her eyes widened. "Whoa, you've got lizard feet!"
The golden orbs inside the kendo mask narrowed as Kotemon glared at hs new partner. "Honestly? No wonder no one noticed anything out of the ordinary, if you're anything to go by."
"You, watch it," Kai snapped, then stiffened as a voice drifted towards her.
"Hey Kai!"
Scrunching her face up, Kai tried to process who it was calling her name. She turned towards the voice. "Ah!" It was that Hiroshi guy. She thought so, at least.
"A friend?" Kotemon inquired.
Kai shrugged. "Not really. Just a guy from school." Facing Kotemon once more, she addressed the bigger problem. "See, now he's coming towards us, and it'd be rude to just run away."
Kotemon muttered under his breath, "From what I can tell, you have no concern as to what's rude or not."
Ignoring him, she continued, "Let's just pretend you're my little brother, or something."
Kotemon's eyes were disbelieving. "You think he'll believe that? How could he not know you have a little sibling?"
"How could he? I've never talked with him that much before. It'll be fine, Kotemon, relax!"
"Hmph," he huffed, wondering how he would ever be able to relax if he had to watch out for his newfound tamer.
Kai raised a hand in greeting as Hiroshi approached. "'Sup!" she called out in response, surreptitiously shoving her new Digivice, colored with a nice red and white scheme, in her pocket. Remembering that he played Digimon too, she questioned, "Did you compete today?"
Hiroshi: It wasn't exactly like he wanted to talk to her, but avoiding her would just be rude. When you are walking on the street, and you see someone you know, you don't just look at the ground and keep on walking. It was more of a moral than anything else, he never liked being rude being honest. It wasn't apart of his nature, he was a kind person by Seoul's standards.
"Yeah," he said as he looked at the ground, "Didn't place at all though, Mizuki wiped me out during the first match. No surprise there."
It was not a surprise as Mizuki had been training only to defeat her brother, she had told him herself. Jae knew it already and he had brought up the subject when they were studying together. He saw no reason for them to dislike each other, but Hiroshi did not question it either. Getting on their bad sides was the last thing he wanted to do, they both had horrifying tempers when angered and had their own ways to torture people if they wished.
"Who's the new kid?" he said as he looked over Kotemon quickly. A bit on the short side from what he had seen, and had a weird dress style. Was he completely new to the city and didn't know how to dress? That was completely weird. He didn't have a drop of Korean in his blood, but boy did he know how to get around.
He was half Greek and half Japanese, but he was born here and lived her happily.
"I haven't seen him around," he then added on making sure he wasn't sounding completely stupid, "He has some weird style there. And shoes. It isn't Halloween, if I am mistaken?"
Maybe he was a cosplayer who wanted to learn kendo, Japan was full of them from what his parents told him. Some kids even dared to run around as the characters on the streets for their casual dress just to express themselves. It was cool, but definitely not his style.
Closing his mouth shortly afterwards, he took a step backwards. Avoid. Her. Temper. Hiroshi had let his mouth run too much.
"Sorry about that, I am not thinking."
Kai: Kai listened carefully as Hiroshi spoke about the tournament, and of how he was wiped out by Mizuki in the first match. She nodded, giving a slight smirk as well. Mizuki was one of the top: he never had a chance. Hah. Thankfully, a sharp jab in her leg by one of Kotemon's kendo swords prevented her from actual chortling out loud over Hiroshi's unlucky circumstances.
"Who's the new kid?" he said, and Kai immediately froze. Again, Kotemon jabbed her, and she loosened up. Rolling his eyes, Kotemon began to suspect that, despite her callous and almost punk-like attitude, Kai couldn't lie to save her life.
She kept silent as Hiroshi continued, adding, "I haven't seen him around." Kai understood that.
At his next comments, though, her eyes began to narrow. "He has some weird style there." And narrow. "And shoes." And narrow. "It isn't Halloween, if I am mistaken?" They only stopped narrowing because it was physically impossible at this point.
Kotemon took no notice to the comment, until he sensed some bizarre feeling rolling off his partner. First off, why could he sense stuff? He guessed this was a partner thing, being able to tell stuff about each other. Secondly, why were her eyes so narrow? What was wrong? Glancing over, he noticed that the boy was taking a step backwards. Why? Kotemon tilted his head in confusion.
"Sorry about that, I am not thinking," the boy said, and Kotemon was only further puzzled. What-
His golden eyes widened, and he turned his mask up to his partner.
Oh.
Kai's hands balled up into fists as she took a step forward to match his step back. She gave him a menacing glare and began to speak. "Some weird style, huh?" she said, her voice starting off normally. "Oh, and you don't like his shoes either?" Her voice began to rise, and Kotemon watched her worriedly. "Haha, no, it's not Halloween, but you know what?" Her voice was almost at yelling point by now, and Kotemon decided to step in.
"It's okay, I'm good, no offense taken!" he said loudly, trying to intervene and hoping Hiroshi wouldn't notice the tinny sound to his voice, or at least just attribute it to his helmet.
Kai was not to be placated so easily, not when her temper had flared up. Taking another step forward, she grabbed a fistful of his shirt and brought him to eye level. Shouting now, she raged, "I don't care if it's weird! You don't just insult my little /brother/ because of some dumb opinions! If he wants to dress up, then he can dress up! But you /dare/ to call it /weird/?! And people have the nerve to say /I'm/ rude?!" She seethed, grinding her teeth and releasing him with a shove.
Next to her, Kotemon completed his first of many facepalms.
